  Muskox Hunting:

For the first time in history, northern Quebec (Nunavik) made
available six sport hunting permits for the 2008 hunting season which
runs January 01 through until the end of March.

We operated and outfitted the hunt right from the village of Kuujjuaq
using snowmobiles to travel the short distance out of town to reach
the Muskox herds.  In good conditions, the animals were located
  within 2 – 2 ½ hours.

Once located, the muskox are then stalked on foot.  Most shots are
going to be 100 – 150 yards.  We are set-up and prepared to spend
the nights on the tundra but if everything goes as planned, the
animals and weather cooperate we can then be out and back on the
same day.  If we have to travel too far to locate good trophies, we will
then save the travel time and camp out.

Hunt Conditions & Details:

The temperatures ranged at about -20C during the day so proper
clothing is essential.  During the night the temperatures will drop to
-35C.  This is a very interesting hunt and allows you the opportunity
to be among the first to ever hunt these herds.  The scenery is
amazing.

It is unknown from year to year as to how many permits will be
issued if any at all and for this reason I am selling it on a first come
basis.  In 2008 I had only two permits of the six available.

In booking, I would require a deposit of $3000.00 non-refundable.  The balance would be due 30 days prior to the hunt.  Please see
the Rates page for more information.
