You
can expect the majority of Lake Trout that you catch at Lac Dufreboy to
run from 6- 15 pounds. However, 20-40 pound lunkers are there waiting and
are not at all uncommon. Every season produces a couple over 40 pounds and
almost every fisherman will hook one of 20 or more pounds. It'll be up to
you to get it to the boat! |

Both
Breakfast and dinner will be prepared and served in the main dining room.
The chef will prepare delicious, nourishing meals. Due to the inaccessibility
of the camp, most non perishables are sent from Montreal frozen while fresh
produce is restocked on a weekly basis. |

Shore
lunch is a daily event. This is when you will get a taste of the delicious
fish that are caught fresh and will be fried, baked, steamed or even prepared
sushi style. Regardless, you can be assured as much fish as you could ever
imagine, but remember you still have to fish in the afternoon. There have
been some tales told however of afternoon naps being taken! |

Not
only does Lac Dufreboy produce the largest Lake Trout in northern Quebec,
It also has excellent river fishing for Brook Trout that will readily take
a fly. These square tails will average 2-3 pounds and run up to about 5
pounds. They are beautifully colored and very abundant. The Arctic Char
are in the Lake and will be caught in the same waters as the big Lakers.
These are excellent eating fish! |
